Zero Tolerance Policy

In accordance with the UGC Regulations (2009) and the directives of the Government of Jharkhand, Akshat College of Health Education maintains a strict Zero Tolerance Policy towards ragging. Ragging in any form—physical, psychological, or sexual—is a criminal offense and is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the college premises.

Our Anti-Ragging Cell is committed to ensuring that every student, especially freshers, feels secure and respected. We strive to foster a culture of brotherhood and academic focus through continuous monitoring and strict disciplinary enforcement.

What Constitutes Ragging?

The following acts are strictly categorized as ragging and attract severe penalties:

• Teasing, treating, or handling a student with rudeness.
• Engaging in rowdy or undisciplined activities.
• Any act that prevents or disrupts academic activity.
• Forcing a student to perform acts of shame or physical hardship.
• Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure.
• Any physical abuse or threat to health and safety.

Administrative & Penal Actions

Depending on the nature and gravity of the offense, a student found guilty of ragging may face:

  • Suspension: Immediate suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
  • Expulsion: Permanent expulsion from the institution and the hostel.
  • Financial Penalty: Fine ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1,00,000 as per statutory guidelines.
  • Legal Action: Lodging of an FIR with the local police station under the Jharkhand Anti-Ragging laws.
  • Debarment: Prohibition from representing the institution in any regional, national, or international meet.

To ensure immediate response, Akshat College of Health Education maintains an 24/7 vigil through our Anti-Ragging Squad. All affidavits and reports related to student behavior are managed via the Campus ERP System to ensure transparency and accountability.
